Nozawa Onsen

This summer holiday we went to Japan! First off we hit up Tokyo and then we visited Nozawa Onsen. We went with two other families and met a third family on the slopes all from Oscar and Evie's school.

This is my first time visiting Japan in the winter and it was COLD. Wasn't really ready for it to be honest I was hoping I could continue shorts and t-shirt but it was impossible.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt in Tokyo in I think their best room. It had a Piano and amazing views over Tokyo, here's Evie playing iPad in downtime with the insane metrop0lis views of Tokyo behind -

We went to Disneyworld, the Pokemon Centre, a Pig Cafe, Shinjunku, Giza and everything you could possible do in a 3 night stay in Tokyo -

After Tokyo we got the train to Nozawa Onsen which is a ski village North of Tokyo, 5 hours by car or 1.5 hours by bullet train. Skiing was really good fun, I last went in Austria when I was in the last year of high school and Amy had also only been once before so we both had lessons which were great. Oscar and Evie had a lesson in Dubai so they were quick to get back to it. I was starting to get the hang of it by the second to last day and we were lucky on the last day getting a lot of snow which made it really good fun.

We had a great trip all around and it was great being with all of the other families. We got back and all have COVID now seems the norm annoyingly!
